The only person with the power to improve the extent and speed of your recovery is you. You can regain normal, fluent speech – but it’s going to take a bit of effort and determination.

While it’s true that your brain may naturally improve somewhat over time, the best way to regain the skills you’ve lost is to practice them, so that those neural pathways are reinforced. This practice may involve consciously making an effort to speak, or it may take place at a more unconscious level. That’s where hypnosis can be so helpful.
