About Mary Beth LaRue

In an elevator I’d say, I’m a yoga teacher, life design coach and writer. My friends would say I am big-hearted and have a tendency to repeat my jokes if you didn’t laugh the first time. I’m a lover of the ocean, chai tea and hip hop. And really, I’m an Iowa girl living in Los Angeles with my husband and our lovable English bulldog Rosy. I’m living the life I used to have pinned to my vision board but it wasn’t just wishing and dreaming that got me here. You gotta put the sweat, love and passion equity into it.

Whether it’s through a sweaty yoga practice, a gratitude meditation or a conversation over coffee about big goals, my mission is to lead people toward their bliss. Sustainable, fulfilling bliss. I truly believe in the power of connection – vulnerable, raw and real – and I believe our most powerful and potent practice happens off of our yoga mat.

During my journey of teaching yoga for almost a decade, I’ve traveled the world teaching professional cyclists, shared a stage with Michael Franti and even designed custom yoga programs for rehabilitation centers, homeless shelters and the Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles. I’ve taught at multiple Wanderlust Festivals, created an online program for Yoga Journal and got certified in life coaching from Martha Beck.

I am also the co-founder of Rock Your Bliss, a yoga-inspired coaching program for the mind and body. Goal coach (and my best friend!) Jacki Carr and I facilitate online programs, coaching, workshops and retreats both online and around the world teaching people how to craft an inspired life of their design.

My classes and retreats have been featured in Yoga Journal, National Geographic Traveler, LA Yoga, Origin Magazine and Mantra Magazine. I’m a proud ambassador of Spiritual Gangster, Manduka, Pura Botanicals and Stronger Faster Healthier.
