What You’ll Learn In Awaken Vitality Method: Level 1
Two things you need to know about awaken vitality:
- You don’t need to have any experience to take part. It’s suitable for people completely new to Qigong, and for people with a small amount of experience, such as people who are studying our other beginner-level program qigong for beginners.
- In this program, you will learn simple but very effective practices that increase the energy flow through your whole body. We will especially focus on your spine and brain, as they are the core of your nervous system and the core of your body’s movement and flexibility.
Awaken vitality will teach you the six key wisdom healing qigong practices that increase your energy, release stress, and open the channels of your body and mind to let the energy flow more easily. These gentle practices are easy to do. You can do them at any time, in almost any place.
The awaken vitality method empowers you to create a positive change in your body’s functions and systems. This is how you benefit:
- Your immune system gets stronger. Then you heal more quickly and easily and don’t get sick as often.
- Your nervous system gets stronger, too. So you think and sense more clearly, and you have fewer symptoms such as pains or muscle spasms.

About Mingtong Gu
Master Mingtong Gu joyfully and skillfully translates the ancient teachings of Wisdom Healing Qigong for modern times. He founded The Chi Center to benefit others through the practice of self-care, self-healing, and self-empowerment, and recently opened The Center for Wisdom Healing Qigong, a beautiful retreat center near Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Master Mingtong Gu shares these powerful teachings through online courses, workshops, and retreats for individuals, wellness professionals, and for students seeking Qigong teacher certification. He’s the author of several publications, including Wisdom Healing Qigong, Sound Healing Technologies, and Awaken Vitality, and is a respected speaker on how to heal ourselves and our planet.
Mingtong Gu received his Master training with Grandmaster Ming Pang, the founder of Wisdom Healing Qigong in China, and has also studied with a variety of Grandmasters. Master Mingtong Gu was inspired to share these teachings after curing his own chronic health conditions through his dedicated Wisdom Healing Qigong practice, and witnessing thousands of “incurable” diseases being healed at the Zhineng Center, the largest Qigong medicineless hospital in China.
Master Mingtong G grew up in a rural community in China, becoming the first person in his village to attend college. He then studied in the United States, receiving his master’s degrees in Math and in Fine Arts. Dedicated to teaching Wisdom Healing Qigong to international audiences, he received the Qigong Master of the Year Award at the 13th World Congress on Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
