NICABM – How To Identify And Treat ADHD In Adults
How to Diagnose and Treat ADHD in Adults
Have you ever had a client whose presenting problem didn’t seem to improve, no matter what you tried? Almost like there was something else at play that kept holding them back?
This can often be the case with ADHD. You see . . .
ADHD can be easy to miss in adults.
That’s because it’s often masked by comorbidities like depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and OCD.
And when therapists don’t recognize it, or they aren’t trained to work with it, it can come at a high cost to their clients.
That’s because ADHD can impair executive function and undermine a client’s motivation to engage in the therapeutic process.
So to help you effectively recognize and treat ADHD (and its accompanying complications) in adult clients, we’ve put together this brand-new workshop.
How to Identify and Treat ADHD in Adults
In this workshop, Thomas Brown, PhD will share effective treatment strategies and case examples to help boost your work with adult clients who struggle with ADHD.
You’ll hear:
- Effective assessment and treatment strategies for ADHD in adults
- How ADHD can impair executive functioning (and its therapeutic implications)
- The specific disorders that co-occur in 50-70% of adults with ADHD
- Practical treatments for comorbid forms of ADHD in adults
- Strategies to cultivate “realistic hope” for adults with ADHD
