NICABM – How To Identify And Treat An Addiction To Porn
Description Of How To Identify And Treat An Addiction To Porn
At What Point Does Pornography Use Become an Addiction?
There’s a good chance you work with a client who’s either concerned about their use of pornography . . .
. . . or it’s significantly disrupting their daily life.
Maybe they’ve even begun to wonder whether they’ve become addicted to pornography.
Now, hardly any of us are trained to talk about this. And shame often prevents clients from bringing it up on their own.
That’s why we developed this brand-new workshop to take an in-depth look at:
- At what point does pornography use become an addiction?
- What are the best practices to work with this issue?
- Intake assessment questions to ask your client

How to Identify and Treat an Addiction to Porn
In this workshop, Robert Weiss, PhD will share the tools you need to identify, assess, and effectively treat sex and porn addiction.
Here’s the agenda:

- How to differentiate Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder (CSBD) from high libido or moral concerns
- How to prevent relapse and support recovery
- Gender identity vs. expression: how they can impact your assessment and treatment
- The clinical implications of 3D virtual reality sexual content (compared to 2D digital content)
- Targeted assessment questions to help screen for sexual compulsions
The live workshop will take place on Thursday, July 24 from 1-4pm ET.
You’ll have the opportunity to ask Robert your questions during the Q&A portions of the workshop.
In addition, your registration includes the video recording and transcript of the presentation (and both are yours to keep forever).
