David And Jelena Yoga – 5 Days to Float
What You’ll Learn In 5 Days to Float
Meditation in Motion
Day One:
This workshop is all about the vinyasa system, which links movement and breath together within a fixed sequence. When followed with devotion and precision, the vinyasa sequence provides a structure that repeatedly directs our focus inward, away from the vagaries of the mind, and towards awareness itself. Understanding this system is the first step to floating.
Setting the Table
Day Two:
This workshop will give you some techniques that can help with floating:
- Movement Follows Breath
- Straight Lines
- Sameness
- Precision as a Lens
Lifting and Landing
Day Three:
This workshop is all about the anatomy and alignment of the arms and
shoulders in the jump-back vinyasa. Proper alignment is vital for both the execution and, perhaps more importantly, the maintenance of your vinyasa practice.
Jump-Back & Jump-Through Vinyasa
Day Four:
This workshop will provide a detailed look at the vinyasa and biomechanics of the seated jump-back and jump-through. Modifications and progressions will be provided to accommodate different bodies.
Floating in Practice
Day Five:
This workshop will offer you the opportunity to put all of your knowledge into practice. Using the beat of a drum to guide the breath, David and Jelena will lead you through the Sun Salutations and Fundamental Asanas of the Ashtanga vinyasa sequence.

About Jelena Yoga
Jelena first came to yoga through dance. As a former ballet dancer of 16 years, the structure and rigour of the Ashtanga Yoga practice felt like home. Drawn to the discipline, mindfulness of the movement and emphasis on the breath, Jelena made the Ashtanga practice her sole focus in 2009.
Jelena has maintained a daily Ashtanga practice for over a decade. She’s made two trips to Mysore, India to study with her teacher, Sharath Jois.
Lastly, Jelena’s true passion lies in promoting rescue and adoption of (street) dogs. You can often find her sharing her love for #adoptdontshop on her IG, and sharing the joys of living with her two fur-babies, Boksoon and Khani, both celebrities in their own right.
